Tuesday Evening Talks in Bundoran

Three friendly, practical evenings on energy, sleep and feeling like yourself this winter.

I’m Frances Norgate, a Qualified Nutrition and Lifestyle Advisor living locally. This winter I’m running three talks at Bundoran Community Centre. Each one stands on its own, so come to one or come to all three.
No strict diets, no lectures and no jargon. Just a clear explanation of what might be going on, practical ideas you can try starting the next morning, and plenty of time for your questions.

Talk 1

Beat the Afternoon Slump: Eating for Steady Energy

Tuesday 24 November · 7–8pm · €5

Hit a wall at 3pm every day?

Do you reach for a coffee or something sweet just to get to teatime? Most of us put the afternoon crash down to being busy, or getting older. But it often has a pattern behind it, and that pattern can start as early as breakfast.

In this friendly, practical hour, I’ll explain why energy so often dips after lunch, and what you can do about it without giving up the foods you enjoy.

What we’ll cover:

  • Why energy so often dips after lunch
  • What a steadier breakfast and lunch can look like
  • Simple swaps that fit around work, family and real life
  • Your questions, answered

Winter Wellness

Tuesday 1 December · 7–8pm · €5

Dark by half four, flat by teatime?

When the evenings close in, it’s no wonder so many of us feel tired, flat and out of sorts. Shorter days can affect sleep, energy and mood more than we realise.

This is a warm, practical evening on looking after yourself through the darker months. You’ll leave with ideas you can start the very next morning.

What we’ll cover:

  • How daylight and daily routine shape your sleep and energy
  • Warming, steadying meals for cold evenings
  • Small habits to help see you through to spring
  • Your questions, answered

Talk 3

The Christmas Survival Guide

Tuesday 8 December · 7–8pm · €5

Enjoy every bit of it, and still feel like yourself.

Christmas should be enjoyed, not endured. But between late nights, party food, a few drinks and routine going out the window, plenty of us reach January feeling wrecked.

This isn’t a talk about cutting things out. No food rules and no guilt, just realistic ways to stay on side through the festive season. A lovely one to come along to with a friend.

What we’ll cover:

  • Party food and drinks without the energy rollercoaster
  • Being kinder to your digestion over the holidays
  • Protecting your sleep when routine disappears
  • Your questions, answered
